Training, Events, Local Hours & Operations

Caring for the safety and well-being of our staff, members and their families is our top priority, especially during this challenging time. Following guidance from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, LIUNA Minnesota and North Dakota has made the following changes related to training courses, events, local meetings, business hours and operations.

Training Courses:

  • Classroom training and onsite activities at the Minnesota Laborers' Training Center will remain canceled until further notice. Check for updates online at ltcmn.org. 
     

Canceled Events:

  • The Laborers' Health Fair (March 21) and LIUNA Day on the Hill (April 29) have been canceled and will not be rescheduled.
     

Local Union Meetings:

  • 363's April Local Union meeting has yet to be determined.

  • All April Local Union meetings for 563, 1097, 1091 and 405 are canceled.


Local Union Hours & Operations:

  • Local 563 office in Minneapolis is closed, but over-the-phone business will continue to be handled. Contact: 612-781-6933. Dues can continue to be paid by phone or online at 563members.org

    • Local 563 office in Mankato is closed, but over-the-phone business will continue to be handled. Contact: 651-248-4178.

    • Local 563 office in Fargo is closed, but over-the-phone business will continue to be handled. Contact: 701-527-7132.

    • Local 563 office in Saint Cloud is closed, but over-the-phone business will continue to be handled. Contact: 320-252-4363.

    • Local 563 office in Bismarck is open with limited staff access. Business should be conducted by phone. Contact: 701-223-5991.

  • Local 1091 office in Duluth will be open during normal business hours and operations. Contact: 218-728-5151. 

  • Local 1097 office in Virginia will be open during normal business hours and operations. Contact: 218-741-3638. 

  • Local 405 office in Rochester will be open during normal business hours and operations. Contact: 507-282-2349.

  • Local 363 office in Minneapolis will be open during normal business hours and operations. Contact: 612-379-4740.

Member Resources
  • Filing for unemployment insurance has been made easier in Minnesota and North Dakota. Governors Walz and Burgum signed Executive Orders, respectively, to give immediate access to workers who suffer lost jobs or hours due to COVID-19.
